November 8, 2007 Daddy brought us and both our grandmas to Melaka Malaysia. My paternal grandma wanted to go and visit her late teacher's temple. But during both days we were there, the temple was not open. Grandma wanted to return some chanting books to them, so instead we left it at the door with our contact.

Our accommodation this trip was sponsored by Daddy's cousin who gave us 2 vouchers. We booked a two room apartment at the Riverira Resort. The resort has a very big and nice swimming pool facing the sea. Grandma and mummy brought us to the pool in the evening, we had great fun!

2 November 2007 - Nativity Church Kindergarten Open House cum Arts Exhibition. Here's some of my selected pieces at the exhibition. Grandma and mummy were
so proud of my creative works, all thanks to my school teachers of course. Too bad, daddy needs to rush back to the office for meeting, otherwise he could share my joy too.

Daddy was upset when he came back from work one day. He went to one of the children home that day and saw a chinese boy age about 7 or 8, crying inconsolably that two other boys needs to hold him up and drag him to sit at a corner. He got bullied by another indian boy in the home. There was another extremely oversized indian boy was lecturing the bully whom never seems to be repentent at all. The heart-warming sight of the whole episode was that the oversized boy came over to hug and console the chinese boy. Thats the way, boy! Rightousness and Loving without prejudices are the qualities of the children of God!

Still, Daddy was upset because he thought that these children came to the Home from different backgrounds, some were ordered by the Court for rehabilitation, the pitiful ones are those under Care and Protection order who came into the Home with no fault of theirs and yet having to suffer in those situations. How irresponsible are those parents and these pains his heart. Only if they are able to witness such sufferings that their children would have experienced. Having said that, that's only if they understand, not sure if they would make the situation worst by reflecting on their own self instead, they probably make a big hooha about it and start complaining about the poor houseparent, the management of the home or even their own children for being such weakling.

On Monday, our Kakah finally decided to call it a day and leave to seek another employer with the maid agency that she came from. Her departure this time round is less dramatic and no tears. We wish her "Hati Hati and May the Lord bless and watch over her and her family always.

Tuesday was the Mid Autum Festival, I made a lantern in school and in the evening, we went to Yeyeh house and noticed that Adam also made a lantern from his school. We had great fun together carrying lanterns and play fire sparkle in the park. Noelle was very funny as she kept running round and round the tree with the fire sparkle.

Hooray! Daddy's computer is finally discharged from "Hospital Purification".

A brief summary of the happening at home when the computer is away. One day, a butterfly flew into our house and I was fanscinated with it until Noelle came and saw the butterfly, she was afraid of the creature and started shouting "Go away! Go away" in her own baby accent . The butterfly then flew away through the balcony. The next minute a loud wailing sound was heard, followed by the same baby accent, "Butterfly no say bye bye to me!" from my baby sister.

Last Saturday, we attended the Children Concert at Victoria Concert Hall by the SSO called the "Fantastic Creatures" that featured famous works such as the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone Symphonic Suite by John Williams. After the concert, we met up with Jiu Jiu and Sharlin Jie Jie at the Kallang Macdonalds.

Also my Angila Kuku came back from Shenzhen, China and bought me and Noelle, lots of new clothes and accessories. She said her trip and all the shopping spree are sponsored by my Yeye. Soooo nice!

Mummy was down with flu since Tuesday, she took MC for the day but didnt get better. She went back to work as usual on Wednesday but decided to take the day off on Thursday as she's not feeling any better.

Daddy too visited the doctor on Thursday evening and was on MC the next day. Mummy's flu was not getting any better so Daddy send her to see our family doctor instead, they waited for almost 2 hours on a weekday morning. By the time they reached home, my temperature also shot up to 39 degree and also vomitted. Poor Daddy had to make another trip to the clinic with me despite him being sick also.

Throughout Friday night, neurofen has no effect to my high temperature, hence early Saturday morning, Daddy decided to give a call to Uncle Terence for consultation. Uncle Terence advised to give my some paracetamol first and suggested that we visit him at his clinic at 9am. I was so worried that I will be admitted to the hospital again like that time when i was just eight months old. Uncle Terence was very sweet, he assured me that there will be no injection first thing when I saw him on Saturday morning. Prelimarily, he told Daddy it might be just viral infection and he will prescribed some antibiotics to speed up the recovery which he would not advice normally but in view of my prolong coughing to prevent further infection.

On Saturday evening, Daddy brought Noelle to see The Salvation Army's musical "Jesus Folks", seems that the songs are very enjoyable such as "He came to give us life in all the fullest"

By the way, this is mummy's first posting on the blog, edited by Daddy of course. Hahaha!

Daddy wrote an eulogy
In loving memory of his World Best Uncle
Mr Ong Teng Sein

Tributes are ever flowing as we celebrate the life of a true gentleman who constantly care and been a blessing for others be it a family member or just a friend. He is none other than Mr Ong Teng Sein, my dearest uncle. For what I have known him for all these years in my life, he was a caring husband, loving father, doting grandfather, supportive brother, great uncle, relative and friend.

Emotions are most uncontrollable during this time, especially whenever fond memories of him flash back his amicable smile, gentle words, politeness and humbleness and of course all the wonderful things that he had done.

Never will I ever forget that how this uncle of mine supported me and my family, whenever my parents squabbled and fought during my teenage days. Countless times that he and my auntie would always rushed to our rescues.

Gratefully, I always remember when I was alone at home one Lunar New Year eve after my parents separated. He was the only one whom remembered me and phoned to ask me if I want to join his family for reunion dinner at his house. I am so deeply touched by his thoughtfulness and kindness until today.

Selflessly, he engaged and provided taxi transport for a hairstylist whom was touched by his kindness and sincerity to visit his bedridden brother for a neat haircut. He even spent his birthday couple of years ago to attend to his younger brother at deathbed. That was the first time I saw his teary eyes.

Effortlessly he had been a blessing to many others but he never wanted to be burden or inconvenience others. Independently he took care of his family and his own needs, never did he breathed a word of complain or tiredness. All these are only possible with his power of love for the people around him..

Impress upon me always are his good characteristics, his gentleness and humbleness. Even in his last few hours, he would lift his trembling hands to gesture “Thank you” to those whom visited him in the hospital.

Now as he rested in eternal peace, his good attributes live on forever as a role model for me and many others!
Last week been a very hectic week for Daddy and Mummy, Noelle was down with fever on Monday, same day the doctor confirmed Adam has HFMD. My parents immediately send me off to my maternal grandma house for isolation in case Noelle is down with HFMD also.

On Tuesday, Grandma came back from Thailand and rushed to visit our granduncle that very morning as his condition has worsen. Unfortunately he passed away that afternoon. In the evening, Noelle's lips started to develop ulcers so daddy and mummy brought her back to the doctor and it was confirmed that she contracted HFMD also. We had no choice but to cancel our holiday plan to Pulai Spring Resort.

Thursday, was National day and also Daddy's birthday, Mummy decided to give him a surprise and they went on an adverture day trip to Indonesia, Bintan Island. Upon reaching the island, mummy was disappointed with the so called Factory Outlet store and wanted to take the next ferry back to Singapore. Daddy then suggested taking a taxi to go down town for recee, they then rented a car with driver for 2 hours that took them out to the traditional market and kelong restaurant for lunch. they almost missed the ferry when coming back, reaching the jetty just 15 mins before departure time. Thank God that one kind soul helped to persuade the immigration to allow them to board the return ferry.

Last Thursday was Noelle's birthday, Mummy and Daddy took the day off and fetch me after school to celebrate with her. We had buffet lunch at The Line in Shangri-la Hotel. The spread was sumptous with 16 theatre kitchens, we could see all the dishes being prepared for our visual and gastro enjoyment and the best of all, the staff were very nice and helpful, that's the kind of place my parents would not mind to revisit for family outing. Check it out here: http://www.shangri-la.com/en/property/singapore/shangrila/dining

After lunch, wanted to bring Noelle to choose and buy a birthday present for herself but she fell asleep in the car as we are heading for the Takashimaya's Crazi Toy Sales. In the end I chose a cash register for her, the same one that I had before.

Daddy has been very busy lately and have no time to blog for me but finally he gets the opportunity to do so now. Last week was quite an eventful one. Last Monday, my grandma bought me a motorized car because she struck double lottery both 2nd and 3rd prizes. The second prize number is my Weixiang Jiujiu's car (Xiao Pai) number 2203 and the third prize number is the number I picked for her just before the weekend. I am going to call me new car "Xiao Hua"

Friday, we celebrated Racial Harmony day in school, for the first time I get to wear the traditional Vietnamese dress that Papa bought for me during his trip to Vietnam last time. See how do I look?

Saturday, Weixiang jiujiu gave us all a treat at the East Coast Jumbo Seafood. We also celebrated in advance Noelle's birthday. I kept insisting that it is my birthday also but they refused to sing me a birthday song. I was upset for a while.

After the dinner, we all adjourned to the Karaoke at Punggol Marina but just as we reached the Club entrance, I vomitted on Mummy inside the car so we all detoured and went back home on our own.

It's finally Saturday! This is the day that we've been looking forward to, we're going to the National Day Parade (NDP) 2007 Preview. Junwei Kor Kor said there will be fireworks though Daddy doubted as he has been to other previews and never was there any firework display other than the Parade on the actual day on 9 August 2007. Anyway, we probably will not be in town that day this year and we will be on holiday. (I wonder where we will be going this time?).

The show was just terrific from the "Red Lions" parachutters, to the giant flag march pass. I enjoyed every moments except for the artillery salute, that really scared me off crying. I cried so loud until everyone around kept turning their heads to look at me and daddy. Nevertheless, Noelle was very sweet to keep asking the artillery troop to stop firing but was never possible!

Last Sunday, Mummy treated us to the Sesame Street Elmo Show, "My colouring book" at the Downtown East Marquee. Here's a photo for the album with Noelle, Adam and Fraser before the show starts.

During the show, no photography is allowed but Daddy still managed to get a couple of shots as almost everyone else were doing the same. We even shoke hands with Elmo, Big Bird, Ernie and Bert.

Coincidentally, we meet my ex-classmate Ashley and her parents from the Growing-up gifted class. We are all geared up and looking forward to this Saturday's National Day Parade Preview.

Daddy's Quote:

What we have, we have been given!

"Everyone has some gifts, therefore all should be encouraged.

No one has all the gifts, therefore all should be contented.

All gifts depend on His fullness for power, therefore all should keep in close touch with Him."

Amen!

Hi there, look I can play the violin and Noelle is still practising hard? Nah, just pretending, but I hope that I can be playing for real very soon as I will be starting my music classes with Yamaha Little notes next month.

Here's the poster photo I took with Daddy at the studio for The Salvation Army's latest Annual report. The Annual report will be ready in July. We are looking forward to see the photo in print. Only regret is that they did not do justice to my photo as they superimposed my face features until my lips became so thick and ugly. You think I look the same in the photo or not?

It's Thursday again! How time flies! Just celebrated Adam's birthday last Saturday, had so much fun! The magician Prince and the bouncing castle were so enjoyable too.

Sunday morning, Noti Daddy decided to skip church and took us to the Bishan Park for the PAW walk. The walk was alright except for the hot weather. Just when we are on our way back to the car park, the mcee suddenly announced Daddy's name, guess what? Daddy won a prize in the Lucky draw and he did a million dollar dash to the stage only to realised that he won a teddy bear trophy! Hahaha
Auntie Catherine and Shawn just came back from Hong Kong Disney, here are their holiday photos. Auntie Cat says everything was so magical except for the hot weather.

We went to the beach in Sentosa during the Vesak Day holiday. We left home early that day, reaching there almost before 9am in the morning. We were the first to reach there, followed by Ta Kuku Angila and Adam, and Er Ku and uncle Andy were the last to arrive.
We had so much at the beach that we almost didnt want to move our butts off the sand. Both Noelle and myself turn out so tanned that you could even see the tan lines on our bodies.

Before we know, the sky started to turn grunchy and began to pour over the other side of the horizon. we quickly pack our things and ran towards our cars as if the tsunami is chasing after us. So funny.
Back home, we slept the whole afternoon that day and woke up only to have our dinner at the Mad Jack in Jalan Kayu.

One family was going out from the lift after the crowd in front of them cleared. Suddenly the lift door started to close up and both daddy and mummy fantically rushed to press the "Door open" button while one young couple standing outside waiting for their turn to enter the lift remain standing.

The mummy of the family felt disgusted and uttered "No one bothers to help and press for the lift for us."

The reply came back from the lady couple was "You should be pressing from inside the lift"

Does that make any sense of you? Does that mean to press yourself to make sure that the lift door open as you are going out of the lift!"

So much for a gracious society!

Not sure if this comes about from our new age upbringing or the sociological effects from our environment.

Over the weekend, we had such a busy schedule. Saturday morning, we wanted to go to Bras Basah complex to get some books. Only to discover upon reaching that there's a "World Book Fair" on at Suntec City. We then decided change plan for a short 2 hours spree shopping at the book fair, as we are meeting our aunty Angila and Adam at The Pinetree Club at 1.30pm.

But God knows, as we leave Suntec to head for the Club, there was a heavy traffic jam at Stevens road. Noelle and myself fell asleep in the car before we reaching. Mummy decided to call Aunty Angila to change plan again to meet at our next destination. Poor Daddy ended up buying $60 worth of fishballs, sausages and chicken wings with the fun fair coupons. Sigh............

Finally, best part of our day trip, Daddy and mummy brought us to our (Ideal) new house situated in the vicinity of Newton area. The place that i like so much that even after coming back to my humble cosy home, I still dream and cry for my new house!!! The whole place is fully air-conditioned with three tastefully furnished bedrooms. Check out the photo link. We had so much fun swimming, monkey jumping on the bed, swinging in the playground and even free make-up lesson from Zhen Yieeeee.

School holiday is just round the corner, so is Father's day. My school teacher helped me to make this card for my "World Best Dad".

The message in the card is titled "My Hand Print" and it reads:

"Sometimes you get discouraged, because I am so small and always leave my fingerprints on furniture and walls.

But everyday I'm growing big and soon I'll be very tall. Then all my little hand prints will be hard to recall. So here's a special hand print so that you can say this is how my fingers looked, when I placed them here today."

Here's the response as Daddy's Quote:

"When I look into the eyes of my child, I know she depends on me.

When I look into the eyes of my child, I feel the responsibility.

When I look into the eyes of my child, I understand why God Loves me!"

Praise the Lord!

James, Kieran and Jun Kai just to name a few, Mrs S mentioned that James and I used to be very close and often hug each other until Kieran comes along. Kieran tried to put his arm around me and I didnt quite like it so I moved away. Mrs S saw that and thought was so funny. She also mentioned that I move about very slowly especially during the zoo excursion last week. Kieran have to hold my hand and pull me along. Mrs S said Kieran was more alert than I am. Heehee.
