One family was going out from the lift after the crowd in front of them cleared. Suddenly the lift door started to close up and both daddy and mummy fantically rushed to press the "Door open" button while one young couple standing outside waiting for their turn to enter the lift remain standing.

The mummy of the family felt disgusted and uttered "No one bothers to help and press for the lift for us."

The reply came back from the lady couple was "You should be pressing from inside the lift"

Does that make any sense of you? Does that mean to press yourself to make sure that the lift door open as you are going out of the lift!"

So much for a gracious society!

Not sure if this comes about from our new age upbringing or the sociological effects from our environment.

Over the weekend, we had such a busy schedule. Saturday morning, we wanted to go to Bras Basah complex to get some books. Only to discover upon reaching that there's a "World Book Fair" on at Suntec City. We then decided change plan for a short 2 hours spree shopping at the book fair, as we are meeting our aunty Angila and Adam at The Pinetree Club at 1.30pm.

But God knows, as we leave Suntec to head for the Club, there was a heavy traffic jam at Stevens road. Noelle and myself fell asleep in the car before we reaching. Mummy decided to call Aunty Angila to change plan again to meet at our next destination. Poor Daddy ended up buying $60 worth of fishballs, sausages and chicken wings with the fun fair coupons. Sigh............

Finally, best part of our day trip, Daddy and mummy brought us to our (Ideal) new house situated in the vicinity of Newton area. The place that i like so much that even after coming back to my humble cosy home, I still dream and cry for my new house!!! The whole place is fully air-conditioned with three tastefully furnished bedrooms. Check out the photo link. We had so much fun swimming, monkey jumping on the bed, swinging in the playground and even free make-up lesson from Zhen Yieeeee.

School holiday is just round the corner, so is Father's day. My school teacher helped me to make this card for my "World Best Dad".

The message in the card is titled "My Hand Print" and it reads:

"Sometimes you get discouraged, because I am so small and always leave my fingerprints on furniture and walls.

But everyday I'm growing big and soon I'll be very tall. Then all my little hand prints will be hard to recall. So here's a special hand print so that you can say this is how my fingers looked, when I placed them here today."

Here's the response as Daddy's Quote:

"When I look into the eyes of my child, I know she depends on me.

When I look into the eyes of my child, I feel the responsibility.

When I look into the eyes of my child, I understand why God Loves me!"

Praise the Lord!

My parents met up with my teachers today, they commented that I have been a good girl in school and many boys like to stick around me. James, Kieran and Jun Kai just to name a few, Mrs S mentioned that James and I used to be very close and often hug each other until Kieran comes along. Kieran tried to put his arm around me and I didnt quite like it so I moved away. Mrs S saw that and thought was so funny. She also mentioned that I move about very slowly especially during the zoo excursion last week. Kieran have to hold my hand and pull me along. Mrs S said Kieran was more alert than I am. Heehee.

Look what Auntie Phyllis and Auntie May got for me and Noelle, Auntie May visited the popular bookstore at United Square and got us each a cute-looking pencil. They really looked so lovely. Auntie Phyllis also got us the colourful "Huge Henry" ladybird book from Vivo City. The book were on sale at $1 each. That's really a steal!

In gratitute, Daddy taught us how to make thank you cards for Auntie Phyllis and Auntie May. We enjoyed the card-making session. It was fun to do all the pasting. To help me write better, Daddy uses the pencil to draw small squares as a guide for me to write the letters. How does it look? Noelle also did a great job with the pasting and look in the last photo how Auntie intepreted Noelle's pasting. Last night, Daddy brought me and Noelle to the airport to fetch mummy who's coming back from Bangkok. Mummy said she will be buying toys and dresses for me and Noelle. At the airport, I was trilled to see mummy coming out from the immgration glass door. I kept shouting "Mummy" "Mummy" I love you Mummy!!! I miss you so much!!!

Our new Kakah's name is Yulilis, we call her Lilies at home. She is not just pretty but also very talented.

She cooks dishes just like what we see in the restaurant. How does her potato nuggets look? Savouring right? She even does Jamu massage for my grandma. She plays the guitar and sings very well. She says that she sings in her village to raise fund for her church, she even won first prize in singing in her hometown.

Next weekend, Mummy is going to Thailand, Bangkok so I made a Mother's day card and gave it to her in advance. I hope she will buy more presents for me and Noelle when she comes back.

Yesterday my great grandma throw a party for my great grandpa for his 1st bye bye anniversary! And....haha......that's me wearing the green uniform jumping up and down at the corner! I wonder why must they be kneeling on the floor!
