Virtual Sports Day

It was another eventful week for our family, definitely never miss the long awaited 3 years once Penguin Book Sales. This year, we harvested 65 books for about $250, Mum averaged out that the cost is only about $4 per book. The deal was so good that we went back to the sales again on Saturday, this time with Zhen Yiyi and Uncle Darren.

After lunch, we went back to Zhen Yiyi house to create our virtual selves on the WII machine, getting ready for our First (Virtual) Sports Day. Nikki created herself with shoulder length hair and blue dress while Noinoi created herself with 2 ponytails and yellow dress. We also create Daddy with spikey hair and even a goatee on his chin. We challenged each other through golf, bowling and even boxing. Eventually Nikki is the winner for the golf game and Noinoi won the bowling game. But one important lesson we learnt is that there must be a winner and a loser in any game, otherwise there is no game! No one is perfect, most importantly, everyone must put in their best effort in whatever they do! Study hard, Work smart & Play hard!

In the evening, Daddy said that he saw two children at the Children Home Thanksgiving concert last night. They are about the same age as us. One who is very focused on her performance, making sure that she diligently delivers every requirements on her part. So much so that when another younger boy standing next to her did one action slower and accidently knocked onto her, she literally pushed him away! Another child was very relaxed on stage and occasionally giving a cheeky smile to the audience. Daddy felt sad for they have to be put up in the children home at this young age for no fault of their own. Uncle Darren also agrees that children like us are blessed.
