Unexpected Visit

Daddy received a call from mummy this morning informing that Nikki complained that her heart is beating so fast that even her hands are shivering until she couldn't hold her bread properly. They agreed to meet at Uncle Terence's clinic.

As usual, his clinic is forever crowded and long queue, only relief was at least he's in town this time. After about 2 hours wait, the clinic nurse ushered us to the nursing room that is temporary converted to treat patients with fever symptoms. When Uncle Terence came, we told him about Nikki's encounter. He advised us to admit Nikki to the CCU (Critical Care Unit) for observation at the same time, to have her ECG test done.

When Daddy told Noinoi that her sister needs to stay in the hospital, she immediately hugged daddy saying how much she loves Nikki and wanted to give her something that turned out to be a lump of crushed paper (Haha!). Daddy then suggested that she draw a card for Nikki. She even asked daddy to convey message to Nikki that she must bring back the card and not to leave it in the hospital. Upon seeing Noinoi's card, Nikki also responded with another sweet message.

Several hours later, Nikki's fever subsided and seems to have recovered by God's grace and healing hands. Her heartbeats has also stablised. Mummy requested the nurse to call Uncle Terence to ask if it's advisable to be discharged and do our own observation back home. (Firstly, not cheap, secondly not nice to stay in the hospital especially in the CCU. We even overheard a pastor conducting prayer session for one of the patient who is really critically ill there.) Uncle Terence then came back to see Nikki and agreed to discharge her. Once again Mt A has earned it's name for their warmth customer service, Daddy told mummy it's much better than the "bukan atas" Mt E. Thank You to all the angels of Mt A, of cos specially to Uncle Terence!

Unlike the usual Saturday, Daddy sent Nicole Jie Jie for her Chinese enrichment class in the morning. Instead of waiting outside during her class, we went to the supermarket to buy some drinks for the party.

After the Chinese class, mummy sent Jie Jie for her drama class while Daddy and Noelle went back home to decorate for the party. Think Granny is very excited also, she woke up as early as 5am to wash the corridor! Mummy was so worried that Granny would disturb and wake up our neighbours with all her brushing.

Noelle fell asleep on the way to her class, since they were early so Daddy decided to park outside the school and let her sleep. After Nicole's drama class, she also slept in the car while waiting for Noelle. Nicole slept all the way until we reached the cake shop.

At the cake shop, mummy saw another mummy also collecting her cake, their cake seemed much nicer and bigger compared to ours because their's is a two tier cake.

Just before the party starts, the sky suddenly break with a heavy downpour!!! Our guests maybe thinking what a stingy host! ONLY the Grannies would understand this line! Thank God, the rain stopped about an hour later. By then most of our guests have arrived and to kick off the party, the Magic Prince Danny made his "royal" appearance. He even organised the Pinata game that originated from Mexico. Thanks to all our Gugus, Angila Er Gu Mindy and Uncle Andy, Zeni Gugu, Auntie E-han and Agnes for sponsoring the show.

After the magic show, we have the internationally renowned meal for children.....the Macdonald's Happy Meal! Hahaha. The airplane formation show and fireworks weren't the successful due to the cloudy sky. That did not dampened our party spirits, only felt sorry for the poor pilots and the pyrotechnicians. We counted our blessings thank God for the wonderful party, for the fun and joy that we can share with our friends and their parents.

We met Mozart at the museum today....more like yesterday! We even sleep on his bed and took a ride on his carriage! We were told that Mozart started playing the piano and violin at the age of three and conducted his first orchestra at the age of five! A real Child Prodigy! Daddy brought our cousin, Adam along also since it's his birthday on Monday. After the museum visit, he came back to our house and took his afternoon nap in our room with us. Guess what, he woke us all up immediately after he wakes up.

Monday morning, Daddy's colleagues brought us to the Botanic Garden for their annual report photoshoot. The session was not easy, the whole shoot started about 9am and didn't end until 1pm and we walked from the Tanglin entrance all the way to the Jacob Balas Garden at Bukit Timah. It even drizzled for a while halfway through the shooting. Overall, Daddy's friends said that I was quite cooperative and .... chatty too.

Daddy came to fetch us just before the shooting, we even went for lunch at the NUS campus near the Botanic Garden. Daddy said my picture maybe on the front cover this year.

Almost forgotten, Mei mei and me also made Father's Day presents for Daddy in school

Monday evening, Daddy told Nicole that he's going out for a while and further explained that his office colleague has passed away and he needs to go and say "bye-bye". On hearing that she asked if Daddy is sad. Such as sweetie pie isn't it.

On Daddy's return, she asked further: "Daddy, are you sad? Did you cry? Those words of concern are really heartwarming especially to Daddy. Before sleep, the gals prayed with Daddy. Nicole even reminded Daddy that we should pray for his friend and her children. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord for teaching Nicole so well!

Yesterday morning, Daddy and Mummy went to meet our teachers. All the teachers gave very good feedback for us. Lao Shi said Meimei could learnt the chinese characters very fast. Her teacher in charge also said that she has been reminding her to tell mummy to wear her short with the pocket in front but she keeps forgetting and mentioned nothing. Hahaha.

As for Jiejie, usual too quiet in class said both her teachers, though there are occasional consolations when she still puts up her hands to volunteer her answers. Teacher also mentioned that she is very meticular in her work except need to booast her self-confidence.

In the afternoon, finally the day that we've all been waiting for........ODD (Open Door Day) for our new house, we brought a big pineapple to roll into the house before everybody went in. That was fun! Thank God! Not too bad, no major defects! Can start work immediately, and swiftly our contractor, Uncle Thomas summoned his technicians to start laying the wires for electric, telephone and tv points.

After all the discussion and making all the necessary adjustments and changes, the party proceeded to Kaki Bukit to select the tiles for kitchen and toilet flooring. We have to finalise all the colour scheme and designs by next Tuesday and to buy all the lightings and sink, basin and cooker hob on that day itself. That's stressful!!!!

Praise the Lord! Princess Nicole finally returns to the Palace this evening. Princess Noelle surprised her sister when she appeared in school in school this morning. Queen Mummy told her teachers initially that Princess Noi will be back in school by next Monday but King Daddy upon clearance from the imperial doctor decides on the pleasant surprise. Queen mummy is also delighted to compliment on the school and their dedicated teachers. Just on Monday, both Noelle's principal and form teacher called Mummy to ask about Noelle. How sweet of them both. Another sweetest words that King daddy heard today was after the bedtime prayer in their royal chamber, Noelle greeted her sister good nite and sweet dreams and Nicole reciprocated as her sleepy eyes shutting the night off.
"My oh mine, I'm blushing!" says Noelle

Noelle asked for Jie Jie today, so we let them chat over the phone. Noelle told Nicole jie jie that she misses and love her very much. So touching! Jie jie also told mei to drink a lot of water and must take medicine.

Although the siblings will "fight" with each other but so happy to know that they know how to show concern to each other.

Hoping by end of next week we are able to bring nicole back.

The most dreadful has happened today. Noi Noi has contracted HFMD!!!!! Her symptoms revealed almost immediately on her back and chest. Thank God that she didn't develop any fever or ulcers or at least yet!!! That was a pleasant surprise to the doctor but she still treated her case as HFMD. Mummy then informed the school thinking we have probably the first to break its clean sheet record (haha) but then we were told that the first case was discovered last week. Poor Nic now has to be separated and stay away.

These two days, both of us partnered in crime for couple of actions that made my daddy & mummy fumed. Yesterday, we emptied our granny's oil bottle to "bath our piggy" banks.

Today, we were caught red handed climbing the main door gate when daddy comes back from work today. Just before that we even locked our granny out from her room by reverse locking her room door.

For the finale, I slammed our bicycle onto the floor so many times until daddy finally lost his cool.......... To cut the long story short, I was taught my lesson and just before we sleep, daddy made us pray for God's forgiveness and ask the Lord to help and guide us to do the right things from this point onwards.

Oh yes, mummy also bought us some art materials from US, apparently it's cheaper now with the low exchange rates.

Believe it or not, I actually got 3 birthday cakes for my 4 years old birthday. One for my birthday party, second one for the school party and third one from my granny at home.

My school teachers were really nice. they even brought my sister along to take pictures with me during the assembly. When we were sharing the cake in class, they also brought a piece to her class for her. So sweet of them. Thank You!!!! To share my joy, we gave my classmates each a canister of colour pencils.
After school, my Granny bought me another birthday cake to cut at home with Lou Hei. I love that, it's so fun until Noelle almost tossed all the ingredients out of the plate and all over the dinning table and floor!
In the evening, daddy and mummy brought us to Marriott Hotel for buffet dinner.

It's Chinese New Year Day, new clothes, new shoes and new handbag for our Ang Pow leh.....

Also, this is the first year that our cousin Aston is joining us in the celebration!!! Look isn't he handsome and dashing like my daddy? hehe. And look at my Granny, her smile could not be more wider anymore. Sorry for my tired look as I've just awaken from my beauty nap by their laughter

November 8, 2007 Daddy brought us and both our grandmas to Melaka Malaysia. My paternal grandma wanted to go and visit her late teacher's temple. But during both days we were there, the temple was not open. Grandma wanted to return some chanting books to them, so instead we left it at the door with our contact.

Our accommodation this trip was sponsored by Daddy's cousin who gave us 2 vouchers. We booked a two room apartment at the Riverira Resort. The resort has a very big and nice swimming pool facing the sea. Grandma and mummy brought us to the pool in the evening, we had great fun!

2 November 2007 - Nativity Church Kindergarten Open House cum Arts Exhibition. Here's some of my selected pieces at the exhibition. Grandma and mummy were
so proud of my creative works, all thanks to my school teachers of course. Too bad, daddy needs to rush back to the office for meeting, otherwise he could share my joy too.
