We left on 19 February 09, just few days after Nikki's birthday. It was supposed to be her birthday treat afterall. Upon arrival, we were mesmerised by the dazzling neonlites of the many casinos.
The Metropark hotel we checked in was quite a good choice, first and foremost it's entertainment free. No rowdy casino, disco or pub. It's pure decent and cosy for families like ours.
We started our second day with an early morning tour about the historical heritage of Macau. From St. Paul's ruins, Senado Square, Fisherman's Wharf, the statue of "Angmo" Kuanyin and many more all in just less than 6 hours. We even have our bites on the infamous Pork Chop bun of Macau, witness the most exciting buggy jumping from the Macau Tower right in front of our eyes. That eye opening sight left Noinoi grumbling non stop over those dare devils that they are so noti and cannot jump off the building like that.....so dangerous......so noti......Daddy cannot learn ok.....
In the evening, we visited the enchanted Venetian... that was Daddy's favourite and indeed claimed to be in a class of it's own.
We left for Hong Kong the next day after breakfast and checked into The Salvation Army Headquarter's Booth Lodge just outside Yau Ma Tei MTR station. Immediately, our shopping spree started off with Mummy and Daddy indulging themselves at the Espirit Factory outlet store at the first day of arrival in Hong Kong.
No need to mention, the shopping spree spirit continues the following day after the morning ride on the Ngong Ping 360 cable car ride to Ta Yu Shan to watch 2 Monkey cartoon shows.
The second last day was the highlight for the children...think no need to mention also it's Mickey Mouse! at the Hong Kong disneyland. However, the weather was surprisingly hot for February when we were at the theme park until mummy and porpor decided to switch back to their shopping mode into the shopping centres, leaving us, Daddy and Granny to continue exploring Disneyland. No regrets for us as we finally gets to watch High School Musical for the first time.
Finally, on the last day, we packed our reluctant hearts and sweet memories back to Singapore. Mummy's already planning for our next trip.........to be continued.
